Most Expensive Bicycle

Move over, Lance Armstrong. The 7-Diamond bicycle sold at the 2005 Lance Armstrong Foundation Gala may have been the most expensive bike a month ago, but now that honor belongs to a new bike by Aurumania.

Aurumania’s Gold Bike Crystal edition

Aurumania’s Gold Bike Crystal edition is almost entirely plated with 24 karat gold—even the spokes. The seat is a Brooks saddle made of the finest leather while the handlebars have grips made with hand-sewn, chocolate brown leather. Even the numbered badge is made of leather. Of course, the bike isn’t called “Crystal edition” for nothing. It’s decorated with over 600 Swarovski crystals—including the Aurmania name written in Braille along the crossbar.

The world’s most expensive bicycle is a limited edition item—only ten will be made. They can be purchased and delivered to anywhere in the world for €80,000 (US $114,464).

7-Diamond

The former most expensive bicycle in the world, 7-Diamond, was sold to an anonymous buyer at the Lance Armstrong Foundation Gala in 2005. Studded with seven 1-carat Gemesis man-made diamonds and 300 white diamonds, the gold-plated bike commemorated Armstrong’s victory over seven Tour de France events. The expensive bike, a joint effort between Trek Bikes, Nike, jeweler Alan Friedman and artist Lenny Futura, was valued at $60,000 USD at the time of sale and was purchased for $75,000.

Let me get to the part I don’t understand AND JUST SAY….THAT IS SOOOO STUPID.

FAKE DIAMONDS AND CHEAP CRYSTALS AND Why the hell did they feel it necessary to put the manufacturer’s name on the bike in “BRAILLE”???

HOW MANY BLIND PEOPLE RIDE BIKES…AND FOR THAT MATTER…HOW MANY OF THEM GO TO THE BATHROOM (THEY CAN’T SEE) AND STOP OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR (THEY DON’T KNOW WHERE IT IS) AND FEEL FOR A SIGN THAT WILL TELL THEM IT’ S THE BATHROOM. I FIND THAT SOOOOO IRONIC OR EVEN CRUEL EVERY TIME I GO INTO A BATHROOM THAT IS ADA COMPLIANT.

WILL THEIR DOG WALK THEM OVER TO THE BIKE…(THEY CAN’T SEE)..SO THEY CAN FEEL HOW PRETTY IT IS? AND ISN’T IT CRUEL TO PUT IT ON A BIKE THAT THEY CAN’T RIDE…OR CAN THEY??? SINCE IT DOES SAY WHAT IT IS ON THERE IN BRAILLE. NOW THEY CAN RIDE IT OR ATLEAST PEE ON IT.

SO NICE TO PATRONIZE THE BLIND (AND CONFUSE THE HELL OUT OF THEIR DOGS) I MEAN….THEY DID TAKE THEM OVER TO THE BIKE….AND THEN THEY RODE AWAY…BUT WHY THE HELL ARE THEY UNDER THE CAR THAT JUST RAN THEM OVER??? (THAT THEY DIDN’T SEE) THE END.
ATLEAST SHOW THIS TO THE GUY THAT MAKES THE LIMITED EDITION BIKES…ID LIKE TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION.
