If you ride a bike for $5000, why not buying the lupine? If you want to ride at a winter evening on a downhill track, you need a good light and there is nothing you can compare to Betty. I bought the Edison from Lupine some years ago for $1000 and perhaps I will sell it and buy the Betty.

The reason i bought a very expensive light (not the betty, but the wilma, also made by Lupine) is because the price of the light is infinitley cheaper than one trip to the ER and also cheaper than a year’s worth of future insulin.

It’s not the price that’s stupid; it’s the people that buy it.
Bike lights are way over-priced in any case. Mostly very low-tech items sold at similar prices to mobile phones, radios or even cameras. Rip-off.

Well i think yeah its kind of stupid pay all the money on a bike wile you can do other things more importants with that money. Anyways letr the people its goin to get tier of using it so there’s all ur money in the trash, just to use it ones in your life!. That’s freakin stupid!

I have one of these that I use for a spotlighting and driving light for my six wheeler. I agree about the cost, but if nothing else gets near it, and nothing worn on the head does it just has to be worth the outlay. Providing of course you are like me, retired and spending the kids inheritance. Albeit with their total agreement.

that is stupid in my opinion why spend 1,200 dollora on a light i think that is the dumbest thig for a bike ever …….EVER
