Most Expensive Car in the World

If your passion for performance and luxury autos cannot be stopped, and your McLaren F1 is becoming a bore with the rest of your exotic cars, it might be time to check out the long awaited Veyron from Bugatti. At around $1.25 million, it is the most expensive car ever made. So what car value do you get for all that money?

world's most expensive car

This is not your typical luxury car. How about a W-16 (essentially two narrow-angle V-8s sharing a crankshaft) with four turbochargers generating 1001 hp, throw in all-wheel drive and you’ve got a seriously fast car.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 hits 60 mph in 2.5 secs., does the quarter-mile in 10.5 secs. and reaches its top speed of 252 mph in just 55 secs. After a long absence from the market Bugatti (with a little help from parent company Volkswagen) has reclaimed its title as the ultimate performance car and reigns supreme as the world’s most expensive car in production.

the MOST EXPENSIVE CAR IN THE WORLD is a Bugatti yes, but an old Buggati the Type 41 Royale that worth the estimated $10 million dollars.

Respect must be paid to the McLaren. Screw the price, screw the top speed of the Veyron, the McLaren actually feels fast. Just raw power. The Veyron loses the feel of actually driving in all its lavish comforts while the McLaren stays true to the essence of driving (stupidly) fast.

The most expensive car in the world is the very first Rolls Royce Silver Ghost that is kept in a sealed room at BMW. The price tag is $75 million. The car comes out for the Peeble Beach car show…

The highest price paid (not insured etc) for a car is not that paid for the Bugatti Royale at an auction in 1987, but a private sale last year of a Mercedes-Benz 540K in the USA.

I saw an Austin 1100 up for sale in Hull for a staggering £89,000,000 but then realised the owner was a total tosser who thought it was funny. It shook me up that someone could be so cruel.

What about the Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR. Thought its price tags ran from $1.5 to $2 million overshadowing the Bugatti???????????

No Winged Wheels, you are totally wrong AS USUAL – IDIOT! the Bugatti cost around $4m to build so the construction costs would have been much more than the Merc. Bugatti were selling this at huge a loss.

Its the most expensive production car. Whilst the Type 41 and Silver Ghost are expensive they are not considered to be production cars as they are no longer in production

You guys, they’re talking about retail price, not price after 70 years. The price of this car in 20 or more years is probably gonna be > $10,000,000.

off with that bugatti, don’t deserve that price let alone top position. doesn’t look like production model. the mclaren tops.
