It has absolutely nothing unique about the flavour to make it distinctive. I could rattle off any number of plantations that offer really affordable beens that make a better example of balance than this.In summary a complete rip off similar to the Emporers New clothes. The Civet is about as good at picking the best berries as your half blind grandma, if it's hungry it eats a few that aren't as ripe, the real sorting is done by people to get rid of the brokens and imperfects after the animal has done the poop. Just have a look at one of the poo pics to see the lack of uniformity and imperfects that are in the beans of a poop log.So like all coffee this stuff is only 'good' if the roast is less than 14 days old. Pre-ground stuff or that 'boxed roasted bean' set pictured like any 'old and stale' coffee would taste crap (pardon the pun). There are many distinctive flavours of coffee to be found throught the world in various plantations, that actually have something about them worth the price. Hacienda la Esmeralda Geisha, Panama is a bean that is pricey but, pretty unique.Got to take your hat off to the marketing though ;-D

All coffee goes through what some might describe as a ‘disgusting process’ , that is it gets fermented.

Having tried ‘fresh roasted’ Kopi Luwak all I can say is that it was good coffee but, whilst fairly balanced it had identical or slightly less flavour intensity than beans from the same region. I know that there is this kind of coffee that exists in the Philippines and was exhibited in New York City some years ago and it's called COFFEE ALAMID. Alamid is the equivalent of palm civet in the Philippines. If my memory serves me right, the manufacturer of this kind of coffee is from Laguna or Batangas I think. It was also featured as the 'most expensive' coffee in the world, last year or 2 years ago.

Hi! I know that there is this kind of coffee that exists in the Philippines and was exhibited in New York City some years ago and it’s called COFFEE ALAMID. Alamid is the equivalent of palm civet in the Philippines. If my memory serves me right, the manufacturer of this kind of coffee is from Laguna or Batangas I think. It was also featured as the ‘most expensive’ coffee in the world, last year or 2 years ago.

By: luke

me too! hey what if I eat some coffee beans and poo em out, could I charge 50 quid a cup?

me too! hey what if I eat some coffee beans and poo em out, could I charge 50 quid a cup?

By: selena

wow i dont care frum wat animal it comes from cuz it must be really gud!Now I want sum=)

wow i dont care frum wat animal it comes from cuz it must be really gud!Now I want sum=)

By: Alyssa

this coffee is so gross i almost puked when i tasted it i swear is was awful this one girl i think did puke thats how bad it was its made out of some animals poop who would want to drink it really my one friend said she was going to open a coffee house called the crap frap

this coffee is so gross i almost puked when i tasted it i swear is was awful this one girl i think did puke thats how bad it was its made out of some animals poop who would want to drink it really my one friend said she was going to open a coffee house called the crap frap

By: lia

I'm gonna pet those "luwak" and feed them coffee beans everyday then sells it. Like the characters in the movie, my spouse has cancer - his is a very rare type - (95% chance that it is treatable) He likes his coffee, said he would like to try it, so I have ordered 4oz for $85.00. Small price to pay to bring a smile to the one I love.

I first heard of this coffee in the movie -’The Bucket List’.
Like the characters in the movie, my spouse has cancer – his is a very rare type – (95% chance that it is treatable) He likes his coffee, said he would like to try it, so I have ordered 4oz for $85.00.
