Hey all you DRUMMERS…The real heros of drumming are the Late Great BUDDY RICH and Gene Krupa. These two drummers had a great influence on all the greats, so get it right…Do The Research. For the Era, Moon nor Peart would be who they are today without the awesome drum patterns of these two.

Terry Bozzio doesnt play Rototoms, being that he is endorsed by DW. He has what are called SPOXE, a patented invention using the skeletons of Rototoms, just inverted and without heads, used like a hihat. Terry bozzio uses a wall of piccolo toms, that are 5" deep and 8" round, tuned to different notes, as opposed to different resonation tunings, as with other drums. He plays melodically, so every single drum he has, along with every cymbal is an actual note. Just thought Id enlightened yet another dark mind.

If not equal even more! Vinnie Dave and Steve Are Amazing to watch I love them. Neil Peart isnt bad believe me but theres plenty of other drummers out there that are equal to or better then Neil

You know absolutely nothing about drums. “Neil Peart’s the best, woo!” that’s not how it works. You probably don’t even know any other great drummers/percussionists anyway. Have you heard of Jojo Mayer? Steve Gadd? Dave Weckl? Vinnie Colaiuta? These people have talent equal to that of Neil Peart.

You have a point in that rock drummers are some of the most inventive and best sounding drummers in music as the rhythm section plays a more central role in rock than most other genres. Yet the technical, rhythmic, and complimentary skills of the best jazz and latin drummers are far superior to those of the best rock drummers.

I Admit These drummer are Great……But you forgot to mention one of the greatest Drummers failed to be recognized "Danny Thomas" The "Yamaha" King of Blues and Rock……..Never hears a shuffel played so perfect….And probably never will….He wrote the BOOK on Blues and the Rock Beat drum sound……………E.C.

Sorry to say, but Neil Peart isn't that influential. If he was, the world would be playing math rock. Also, Terry Bozzio couldn't possibly play all DW drums…DW doesn't make rototoms. What about Gus Moeller, Art Blakey, Max Roach, Clyde Stubblefield, Gregory Coleman, Tony Allen, Billy Cobham, Brendan Canty, Greg Saunier…?

John Bonham is considered the worlds greatest rock drummer with Moon perhaps to follow! There are many great drummers but with varying styles.It would be impossible to say whom is the best! Buddy Rich and Gene Crupa were among the very best in their genre! There is also no telling what a set of John Bonhams,amber Vistalites would sell for! I would and its my business to appraise them at $500,000.00

back in the argument between Peart and Moon, they are both excellent drummers. peart has a lot more talent than Moon, but Moon still has skills in the area of music that he plays. Danny carey is excellent, so are Joey Jordison, John Bonahm, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, plenty of drummers. You can’t just pick one drummer and call them the best. Every drummer has a different style that a lot of drummers can’t play, so they’re unique in their own way. maybe Joey Jordison can’t play what peart can play but maybe Moon can play what Joey can play. They all have different styles and genres. And how could i forget about Terry Bozzio and Mike Portnoy? Every drummer is good, but there is no “best” drummer.

I would argue that Terry Bozzio would have it. He has about 70 drums, and on top of that they are all custom DW drums, which are all $200+ each. Then on top of that all of the custom Sabian cymbals, and then the rack. Not to mention the 9 DW9000 pedals he uses.

That makes sense. Moon’s kit is worth that price becaue he was a lengond. Even though he did do drugs, he stilled played like he ment it. I pretty sure that it must have costed Moon alot just for the kit alone. I know drum kits get expensive denpending on what kind, what kind of cymbals, how many, plus any extra features that go with it.

I think that moon was the coolest drummer but peart overall was a better drummer. moon had very impressive skills that set the bar pretty high but obviously more people think that peart was a better drummer

First of all Keith is dead. Peart continued to influence and rule the world of rock drumming. Do a google search and you will see his name and obsessed followers everywhere. This is not 1976. Come back to the 2000s for a second.

i think that you are wrong in saying that pert is god of drumming, with out Moon and many others, pert would not be a drummer . Moon’s the best drummer to ever walk this earth!
