Harrods, London’s luxury department store, has recently started selling what is possibly the world’s most expensive honey, in their pharmacy. Life Mel honey is being sold as a nutritional supplement for £42 (around $83) per 120g pot.

World's most expensive honey

The expensive honey, which is popular with celebrities like Sienna Miller and Kylie Minogue, is made in Israel by honey bees on a specially formulated diet of herbs such as Siberian Ginseng, Echinacea and Uncaria Tomentosa. The honey includes no additives and no artificial treatments. Its rich flavor and aroma are similar to those of Mankusa honey.

As a nutritional supplement, the honey is meant to be slowly sipped by the teaspoonful, once in the morning and once at night. The honey has been subject to clinical trials to determine its ability to help protect chemotherapy patients from neutropenia, a complication that renders patients more susceptible to bacterial infection.

Not true, Sidr Honey is more pure ancient and more expensive, I ve never heard of Life honey ( must a harrods marketing trial) My grand father use Sidr and he is 93 years old, i personnaly cannot afford it but I did taste it several times and I for taste prefer Spaish Orange blossom honey, yes sir. but here is what sidrhoney.net say about Sidr Honey.

"Pure Sidr honey is a monofloral honey that is made from bees who feed ONLY on the nectar of the Sidr tree. It is raw and organic, which means it comes in it’s natural and unpasteurized state. This and only this is true Sidr honey. The most expensive honey in the world." Your choice
