Most Expensive Wedding Cake
Written by: jeremy Filed Under: Food, Luxury, United States on November 11th, 2008
The world’s most expensive cake may look tasty, but was it? If this glitzy wedding cake’s creators are to be believed, no one ever knew.
Unveiled in 2006 at the Luxury Bridal Show on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, the expensive cake was created by cake designers Nahid La Patisserie Artistique along with jewelers Mimi So. That’s right—it’s decked with jewels both exclusive and priceless.
The cake wasn’t meant to be eaten—or even touched. During the show, it was surrounded by a team of uniformed guards. I’d really like to know what they did with it when the show was over, though.
So how much was the most expensive wedding cake in the world? The diamond-studded masterpiece was said to be worth $20 million at the time.

why do spend so much on a cake anyway it’s still gonna taste the same. the expensive one will taste worst because you know how much it cost. by the why i am not related to the queen
Wow! It look so~ delicious!
whats the point of making a cake that expensive anyway, know one will ever eat it and it will go mouldy. It could be the worst tasting cake in the world and know one will ever know. I think that the bakers who made this cake were scared incase it wasn’t nice so they didn’t let anyone eat it.
i want to eat it.it is creamy and jelly
do you really think , anyone is gonna buy this, oh it’s rotten now…baaassssssiiiiiiii cake…
yummy that looks good
really? hmmm… it looks too rich for my taste, it’s pretty, though!
It took me a while to make out what the design was. I didn’t think the cake looked to appealing. What’s up with just an ordinary traditional wedding cake? the look nicer & probably taste a lot nicer too.
i much rather hav a power rangers cake than a cake with stones that can kill u and i cant eat anyway.
Dont worry about the price. The jewels will go through the digestive systems of the people at the wedding. The waste product will be collected by a trained group of individuals, and the jewels will be retrieved. The retrieved jewels will be sold to the open market.
there are people starving in this world and this is what we spend money on?!?
this is just a disgusting display of self indulgence.
I think it look kinda tacky
This cake is just a way for rich snobs to show off how much money they have. The money they spent on the cake could be given to a charity thet needs it.!!!!!!!!!
I would marry the cake instead
What a waste of good time! People who got an idea of this may be brought especially from assylum.
Dumbest thing ever, I even think $4.00/slice is retarded too for a basic wedding cake. Who eats cake at a wedding when your having un dancing , conversating and drinking?! WTF people, its just cake. I will never pay $400+ for a lousy piece of flour and sugar! What a rip off!
my daddy is buying me a horse this week he said ive already got enough pets but i have only got 5 cats 4 guinepigs 2 dogs (pugs) and 12 horses in our field at the back off our manshion in beverly hills my daddy could afford this cake he could afford 16 of theis things ive got 2 diamond rings also im getting the i phone tomorro it costs me $750.000 the horse costs me $4,000 beat that!
i seen a wedding cake in dallas at the news a wedding cake with real diamonds and the cake the severs for 500 people cost 1 millon dollars
say what you want but if someone offered me that cake im taking it
Diana – I am a cake maker, I make wedding cakes (not for several million pounds I hasten to add) and just to clarify, an awful lot of time and effort goes into making all wedding cakes. We work long long hours striving to perfect the design usually chosen by the bride, after lengthy discussions. It a very skilled craft that not everyone can do, so when I see comments like yours it makes me laugh. If you think you could create something that even half resembles a decent wedding cake and lose money on it, go ahead, be my guest. Its not just a matter of throwing together a bit of flour and water.
