World's Most Expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards - Crush Card Virus
Crush Card Virus (Shonen Jump)

The genesis of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is interesting as far as collectible card games go. The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise started as a manga series based around a fictional card game called Magic & Wizards (later called Duel Monsters). The first Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series was produced in 1998. It wasn’t until 2002 that the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG became a reality. Now it holds a Guinness World Record for being the top selling card game in the world.

So what are the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! cards?

Crush Card Virus (Shonen Jump) – $599.99

This card was awarded to a winner of the Shonen Jump Championships. Its value may have dropped, however, as it has been forbidden as of the September 2009 ban list.

Gold Sarcophagus (Pharaoh’s Tour & Shonen Jump) – $2,195.00 or $399.00

World's Most Expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards - Gold Sarcophagus
Gold Sarcophagus (Pharaoh’s Tour)

Awarded in both the Pharaoh’s Tour and Shonen Jump tournaments, this card is probably the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh! card in the world. The Pharaoh’s Tour is the more valuable of the two.

Japanese Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon with Armor – $500,000

Does this card exist? Despite a few mentions here and there of this half-a-million-dollar card, little or no solid information on this card is available.

Yeah, Crush Card Virus is only worth maybe $10 Max now that the Kaiba Dueling Pack was released. Kinda sucks, since I was going to sell one since I have two. ;P

the kaiba pack didnt come with crush card virus

Reply

Tom September 30, 2010 at 4:10 pm

Yes it did, it was an Ulti Rare even, so it wasn't THAT hard to pull.

Eddy June 26, 2010 at 10:58 am

Switch, this is the Shonen Jump crush card virus. Regardless of the Kaiba Dueling Pack, the Shonen Jump version keeps its value (it has a unique identification number).

Yu-gi-oh has never outsold Magic, even in late 2003, when they had their poorest sales ever. (yes, even considering worldwide)

i had fifteen blue eyes white dragon cards then i stopped all together (before my friends quit the game of course) then I gave them to my friends so seeing how much they are worth i'm probably going to ask them for their cards so i can sell them to this comic book shop just up my street or amazon.com i'm so fricken stupid i had the freacking five headed dragon card.

acturally my mom has a card that can be sold for $289 or so and another for $309 i own one that can even be sold for $400 so this might be true but i'ld say only $900 max maby $1000 would be gained from selling it. not half a mill

is this price for those in the anime world or the real ones where we’re in?..

This is just so incredibly ridiculous.

The $1/2 million card is a one-of-a-kind Original Bandai card. There is literally one single copy of this in the entire world. It is owned by the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and has an estimated value of $500,000-$750,000.

The Seal of Oricalcos was only printed by Upper Deck Entertainment as a promotional card, which were reclaimed after Konami revoked their license. There were 14 printed, all of which reside in the Konami Archives.

The most expensive cards available include any YCS, PT, SJCS or other Tournament-only promos.

TYhe most valueable cards in print (packs) are the Secret Rare Pot of Duality from DREV ($100-$110) and Secret Rare Grandmaster of the Six Samurai from STON ($90-$100). These prices are as of March 2nd, 2011.

Ok i get the fact that their are people out there who dont agree with people playing Yu-gi-oh, all i ask is that for one moment you stop putting degrading remarks on the internet and look at your own childish habits im sure you think its normal for young people to go out and ride bikes and drink alchole and party shit but those opinions are subjective due to the fact that not everybody wants to do that. and that being said im 21 i play yugioh, video games i also work as a combat engineer for the australian army and i ocassionaly go out with my mates and party. ive got the best of both worlds and i dont feel insecure about it.
