Most Expensive Airsoft Rifle

by jeremy on May 6, 2009 · 30 comments

Airsoft is a sport much like paintball with its military simulations, replicas of real firearms, etc. The only thing missing, of course, is the pain—airsoft players must rely on the honesty of their opponents. Given the level of seriousness with which the game is taken, it’s no surprise that players are willing to dole out beaucoup bucks for their airsoft weaponry.

World's Most Expensive Airsoft Rifle

This offering by RedWolf Custom Guns may be the world’s most expensive airsoft rifle. It’s a Systema PTW (Professional Training Weapon), which can handle both Systema M90 and M150 cylinders. The piece also includes a custom adjustable ergonomic stock, Prime CNC receiver with STAG markings, a customized but fully functional Magpul MIAD adjustable grip and a 12” stainless steel Air Surgeon outer barrel. Use of this weapon may qualify as overkill—it fires at an amazing velocity of 460 feet per second.

The most expensive airsoft rifle is up for grabs on Red Wolf’s site for $4,288. If you can find an airsoft gun more expensive than that, we’d love to hear about it.

Isn't it a little bit of weird that airguns which are toys are more expensive than the real guns that are actually able to kill people ? :s

airsoft guns arent toys by definishon they shoot a projectile that is (if the gun isent moded) almost imposibl to see but not lethal so it is a non lethal gun

They can be toys, but if the gun is powerful enough, it can really do some damage!!! Trust me!

i did not know you had to be 18 to buy an airsoft gun in kentucky you only need to be 16 to buy a rifle or shot gun. Oh and to what jack said, you need to have an FFl (federal firearms license) and do some federal registration to legally purchase a Vietnam M16 because they are fully automatic now you could legally buy an M16 and mod it your self but it is still going to be an illegal firearm. I do not have one of these licenses so i stick to semi-auto, bolt action, pump, and other standard actions

airsoft guns are not toys,if they hit you in the eye you could die. Would a toy be able to kill you?

Reply

airsofter November 10, 2010 at 5:10 pm

It wouldnt kill you if you wear eye protection like me.

Airsoft guns are like a mix because I shot my self with an ak74u just to see what it felt like and I still have a scar so idk what you would call them

Reply

TheMan July 29, 2011 at 12:45 pm

No it’s not a mix. The fact that it CAN be used as a weapon doesn’t mean it’s not a toy.
Those $4000 toy guns are for rich kids who can actually afford it, and I can’t help but laugh when I read the “performance” listing, 12” stainless steel, 460 feet per second, oh we sound hell of a lot more serious now talking technical specs like it’s a race car or something. Despite the fact that it’s just a bb gun that costs more than my car. Remember kids, chick will dig it as long as you mention the performance!

It is not a toy to people who play the sport competitively, but to amatures playing with silly spring powered weaponry that their parents buy them, it may seem like a toy.

I love how some one above stated that Airsoft guns are not toys, we run around and shoot each other with them. Hmm well does that mean water guns are not toys or nurf guns. I mean i think if you can shoot your buddy with it and it wont cause serious damage to the person unlike a bb gun its considered a toy.
