A wedding is an expensive occasion for even the most humble bride and groom. Imagine, then, the wedding that includes the most expensive wedding dress in the world. The Diamond Wedding Gown is a collaboration of Renee Strauss, owner of a highly successful bridal salon in Beverly Hills, and Martin Katz, who deals in rare jewels. Featuring 150 carats of diamonds, the dress is valued at US $12 million.

The world’s most expensive wedding gown was unveiled at the premier Luxury Brands Lifestyle Bridal show in February of 2006. Later in the year, Dubai’s Fashion & Diamonds show also featured a gown touted as the world’s most expensive wedding dress. Yumi Katsura’s design, however, is only valued at $8.5 million. Despite being only the second most expensive wedding dress, it features 1,000 pearls and one of the world’s only two 5 carat white gold diamonds.

The dress is okay looking. I think it has too much going on. I am having my dress custom made. My mom’s friend is a designer and she said she will make the dress and make some design ideas. This one looks heavy and uncomfortable though. I don’t think it is that cute either. What a waste of diamonds and pearls! They could be on your ring!!

Well, the dress is pretty… I only spend $175 on my Renaissance gown and it was much nicer! I’d rather spend the money on diamond jewelry that I could wear every day, you can’t really wear this dress every day! LOL

A dancer at my studio showed me this dress and loves it! I, on the other hand, say SHAME ON YOU for spending money like that on a wedding dress in this economy! There are people losing their jobs, going hungry, and homeless children. It’s great if you have it, but vulgarly over the top.

I love this dress! I am learning to be a designer myself! Its very unique, but it may be a little too cheap. Everything could break off easily like the diamonds so to speak, and i think it would be better off with more detail so that it could raise its really low price for a dress like this

i know i can get a dress that’ll look better and have something cheaper but’ll look like a trillion dollars more, and you can solve like a small but good enough percent of the world problems with that money, rip the diamonds out and send it back to wherever you got it from and take the money and use it wisely, gosh you can look ten times better then that, there are better things like swarovski crystals and prettier things, shame on you whoever designed that dress, help the earth and the world

The dress is expensive because of all the diamonds on it….NOT because of any intricate, difficult-to-duplicate pattern design. And — spending all that money on a wedding dress, they couldn’t afford to have SLEEVES on it???? Amazing! To me, THE most beautiful wedding dress ever, (to date, anyway), was CELENE DION’s! Sumptuous! Extravagant! Exclusive! Expensive! (But not as expensive as this dress– yet far prettier). However, Ms. Dion had the world’s WORST headpiece– and that spoilt the effect for me. I AM, HOWEVER, LOOKING FORWARD EAGERLY TO THE 19TH JUNE, 2010 WEDDING OF CROWN PRINCESS VICTORIA OF SWEDEN & DANIEL WESTLING! I expect the dress that Princess Victoria to be totally Spectaculat…..and it will probably have S L E EV E S, as well…hopefully starting a trend back to BEAUTIFUL, 1950′s style wedding dresses that do NOT look like underwear!
its not so bad!…i meen i spent 4 million on my dress and i spent 11 million all together plus i got a new house i think its way 2 big my parents luv it it 4 stories high and has a gym a skatn rink and a bowling alley in the basement i meen who needs all that n their house all that stuff n r basement cost 19 million dollars but the house itself cost 23 million plus we hav a chihuahua mini 1 wich was only 654 dollars and we had 2 buy new furniture wich was only 7 million so datts alot of money! i dont like r house though and we hav inercoms n it 2! we also hav a movie theater upstairs and all my friends hav their own rooms and own clthes so yea! 2 much 4 me! i dont even like the house!

It is probably assumed that if you can afford a 12 million wedding dress (which youre going to wear once in your lifetime), you can probably afford a miami beach front as well.
and it's a waste of money! ur only gonna wear it once, then… keep it in your closet or in a huge bullet-proof glass box
