Chapeau d'Amour - The World's Most Expensive Hat

The most expensive hat in the world wants you dead.

Modeled by actress Alicia Witt at Christie’s in London, Chapeau d’Amour—the “hat of love”—was created by celebrity couture designer Louis Mariette. Made of woven platinum and covered in stunning diamonds, the hat was inspired by ivy and bluebells.

I’m not sure what inspired the antennae, but they look like they could be used to either feel the slightest vibrations in the air or deliver lethal venom to small animals.

Either way, the world’s most expensive hat is valued at $2.7 million. Unfortunately for hat collectors everywhere, Chapeau d’Amour is not for sale.

    hey
i wanted to tell you that ur website is awesome, i love the subtile (or not so much lol) sarcasm youv got goin on. I myself work for a luxury company and regularly post articles on luxury items or conventions or whatever on their blog but although the sector interests me i find myself broken by my supervisor who (EVERYTIME) changes my words because theyre too ironic and sarcastic…
well anyway i love ur blog i envy u for being able to talk about such things whilst moking the fabulously wealthy and if ever you need a few extra articles or something give me a call haha
