A six-pack of beer—it’s cheap, popular and alcoholic. At least one of those things isn’t necessarily true and, if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know which one I’m talking about. Belgian beer company InBev advertises their Stella Artois brand as “Reassuringly Expensive.” Just how expensive is it? Well, a six-pack of their recent Nobilis brew sold at $15,000 CDN ($14,851 USD) for charity.
Stella Artois was first brewed in Leuven, Belgium in 1926 as a Christmas brew and first exported to European markets four years later. Year-round production began in 1960 and InBev now produces over 1 billion liters of Stella Artois annually.
The most expensive six-pack in the world was bottled in magnums. Each of the 1.5 liter bottles was signed by a number of A-list celebrities. One bottle alone was signed by Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, Charlize Theron and Woody Harrelson. Other signatures include those of Bo Derek and Samuel L. Jackson.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of the world’s most expensive six-pack went to WildAid, an organization dedicated to stopping the demand for endangered species products. The six-pack of Nobilis was purchased by AOL Canada, who planned to share the expensive beer with their employees over the holidays.

… Stella in the Netherlands is considered sewage water. Heineken is not too special here too. Best Pilsener beer in the world is Pilzner Urquel (the Cheg version), best Belgium beer Westvleteren Abt (only to be bought at the very monestary. They won’t sell you more than your car -not van!- can handle at their gate.
