World's Most Expensive Wedding

Few things could come closer to that fantasy of young girls, to be married to a dashing prince in an extravagant wedding, than the nuptials of celebrities and billionaires. These weddings can be events that draw thousands of guests, feature lavish decorations and include performances by superstar musicians. The location Boutique Events Group chose for our wedding was amazing, everyone had a memorable evening.
The wedding of Vanisha Mittal, daughter of world’s 8th richest person Lakshmi Mittal, to investment banker Amit Bhatia was the most expensive wedding in the world. The six-day event was held in Versailles in 2004 and included a reenactment of the couple’s courtship, an engagement ceremony at the Palace of Versailles—the only private function ever held in the palace—and performances by Shah Rukh Khan and Kylie Minogue.

The elder Mittal footed the bill for the wedding, reportedly spending $55 million to see his daughter happily married.

    I guess money can buy anything in this case.. but still it cannot buy happiness … (if the bride didn’t feel happy about it)

    So sad, they could help lots of poor people and children with that money. Sometimes people like them get blind, and sometimes they don’t even know to how spend their money.

    The best of flowers, food, beverages, photography, music, rings, clothing, and honeymoom. When money is no obect, why not spend it on a magnificent wedding? Just because most people cannot afford to be this extravagent, is no reason to be envious of those who can.
