World's Most Expensive Wedding Act

It’s said that a rolling stone doesn’t gather moss. It seems the saying applies just as well to British Invaders as it does to their geological namesakes, as the Rolling Stones are the world’s most expensive wedding performers.

The band, whose name comes from a song by Muddy Waters, first claimed international superstardom with their 1965 hit, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” Now, frontman Sir Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood and drummer Charlie Watts commanded over $8 million when performing for a US wedding in 2002. Even for that astronomical sum, the most expensive wedding band doesn’t perform private sets unless they’re already on tour.

Pop icons Sir Elton John and Kylie Minogue came in second place, each having charged a paltry $3.2 million for wedding performances.
